CTM: Plumbing Foreman
Job description
About Us
CT Mechanical has delivered plumbing, HVAC, and mechanical contracting since 2014. We’re a family-rooted company with offices in Gainesville, Jacksonville, Orlando, and Tampa. Our Orlando team builds commercial projects across Central Florida, including Orange, Seminole, Osceola, and Lake counties.
Job Summary
CT Mechanical is hiring an experienced Commercial Plumbing Foreman to run crews on Orlando-area projects. You’ll lead plumbers and apprentices day to day and keep your crew safe, productive, and on schedule. You’ll make sure the installs pass inspection the first time. You’ll report to the project superintendent and work local jobsites, so this is not a travel role.
Responsibilities
Run daily crew operations for plumbers and apprentices: assign tasks, set daily goals, and track production. Lay out and install underground, rough-in, and trim. This covers DWV, domestic water, storm, condensate, and gas systems. Read and work from plans, specs, and coordination drawings. Flag conflicts to the superintendent before they become rework.
Lead daily safety huddles and JHAs, and enforce company and OSHA safety requirements on your crew. Prepare work for inspections and pressure tests, and correct deficiencies quickly. Coordinate with the GC and other trades on sequence and work areas. Manage material requests, deliveries, and jobsite storage so the crew isn’t waiting on parts.
Keep daily reports, timesheets, photos, and redlines accurate. Train apprentices and plumbers on proper methods, safety, and productivity. Keep the jobsite clean, organized, and professional.
Requirements
7–10 years of plumbing experience, primarily commercial. 2+ years leading crews as a foreman or lead plumber. Journeyman Plumber license or equivalent experience. OSHA 30, or ability to obtain it within 90 days. Ability to read plans, specs, and plumbing details. Strong knowledge of Florida Building Code – Plumbing. Clear communication with crews, superintendents, and GC staff.
Physical ability to lift 50+ lbs, climb ladders, work in Florida heat, and work in confined or elevated spaces. Availability for occasional early starts, overtime, or weekend work to hold schedule.
