Driver (Per-Diem), Recreation & Community Services

Summary of Job Description: Incumbent provides transportation and assistance to identified tribal groups in a Tribal Government vehicle to and from various locations and ensures vehicles are properly maintained. Minimum Requirements: Strong demonstrated interpersonal and customer service skills Child Passenger Safety training certification required (will train) First Aid & CPR certifications required (will train) High school diploma or equivalent Current State of Connecticut Department of Motor Vehicle CDL and Public Service licenses Ability to lift 30 pounds and assist passengers in and out of vehicles Familiarity with computers; ability to maintain written records and logs Selected candidate must pass the background check and continue to be eligible for employment in accordance with The Mohegan Tribe’s Indian Child and Family Violence Prevention Policy Selected candidate must successfully complete a State of CT and Federal DOT motor vehicle background check and must continue to maintain licensing requirements Must comply with the Mohegan Tribe’s Drug Free Workplace/Employee Drug & Alcohol Testing Policy (Policy #83) Must be at least 21 years of age (DOT requirement) Selected candidate must meet and continue to meet all DOT Driver Qualifications and Regulatory Requirements The Mohegan Tribal Government is committed to Native American Preference and is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
