Job description

Location: Various job sites (primarily in the Appalachian Basin) Job Type: Full-Time Start Date: Immediate Roustabout Lead Responsibilities: Lead a roustabout crew in supporting turnkey well plugging and abandonment operations, including E&S installation and reclamation tasks such as erosion control, site restoration, and environmental spill cleanup.

Oversee and perform tasks related to well site preparation, including rigging, equipment setup, and maintenance of temporary facilities (e.g., tanks, piping, and containment systems). Ensure compliance with safety regulations, environmental standards, and state/federal plugging requirements. Supervise and train roustabout helpers, promoting a safety-first culture and operational efficiency.

Operate and maintain manual, air, electric, and hydraulic tools used in E&S and plugging operations. Coordinate transportation to and from job sites, utilizing company vehicles (may require towing trailers). Maintain accurate records, including daily tickets, plugging reports, and environmental compliance documentation.

Respond to environmental emergencies and perform cleanup as needed to support reclamation efforts.

Qualifications

Required: Valid U.S. driver’s license with a clean motor vehicle record (MVR). High school diploma or GED. Minimum 2 years of oilfield roustabout experience, with knowledge of well plugging, E&S installation, or reclamation preferred. Familiarity with state and federal regulations for well plugging and abandonment (e.g.

, API standards, state DEP requirements). Proficiency with tools and equipment used in oilfield operations (e.g., hand tools, power tools, hydraulic tools). Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills. Ability to work in adverse weather, cramped conditions, and perform heavy lifting (up to 50 lbs). Willingness to work flexible shifts, including weekends, nights, and occasional overnight travel.

Must pass pre-employment drug testing, background check, MVR check, and random drug testing.

Operate manual, air, electric, and hydraulic tools under the direction of the roustabout lead.

Adhere to safety, environmental, and regulatory standards for well plugging and site reclamation. Assist with setting up and dismantling equipment used in plugging operations, such as cement pumps or temporary piping. Participate in varied daily tasks, ensuring flexibility and teamwork.

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED. Valid U.S. driver’s license preferred but not required. Prior oilfield experience preferred but not mandatory; willingness to learn well plugging and E&S processes is essential. Ability to work in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment, including lifting up to 50 lbs. Comfortable working in adverse weather, noisy environments, and industrial settings with appropriate PPE.
