Can you spot a missing physician order, untangle an insurance issue, and make a nervous patient feel welcome, sometimes before your coffee gets cold? We should talk. THE OPPORTUNITY EVO Care Group is looking for an Intake & Authorization Specialist who knows that behind every referral is someone waiting for care. You’ll help move patients from referral to admission, making sure the documentation is complete, coverage is verified, authorizations are moving, and everyone knows what happens next. You’ll work closely with our Florida intake, clinical, scheduling, and billing teams, reporting to the Director of Intake & Authorization. This takes someone who is organized, persistent, and good with people. A pending authorization does not get less pending simply because we looked at it yesterday. YOU WILL OWN Getting referrals moving. Review incoming home health referrals, check physician orders and supporting records, and track down missing information. Sorting out coverage. Verify insurance eligibility and benefits, identify authorization requirements, submit requests, and follow through on approvals, denials, and limitations. Making the first impression count. Welcome incoming patients, introduce our services, and provide clear, reassuring updates throughout the intake process. Keeping everyone connected. Coordinate with physicians’ offices, hospitals, case managers, referral partners, and internal teams so important details reach the right people. Keeping records reliable. Maintain complete, accurate referral and authorization records in our CRM, EMR, and payer systems. Prepare referrals for clinical review and approval. Knowing when to raise your hand. Escalate missing documents, coverage problems, and authorization delays before they hold up admission or interrupt services. Helping the department work better. Track referral progress and turnaround times, identify recurring obstacles, and support training and coverage when needed. WHY EVO At EVO, we care about Character, Commitment, and Community. Qualifications

YOU BRING 1–2 years of relevant healthcare experience, ideally in home health intake, insurance authorization, admissions, or case coordination. Working knowledge of insurance eligibility, prior authorizations, and patient confidentiality. Strong follow-through, careful documentation, and the ability to manage several time-sensitive referrals without losing the thread.

Comfort with EMR/CRM systems, payer portals, and Microsoft Office. A high school diploma or equivalent. A related associate or bachelor’s degree is a plus. Especially helpful: Florida home health experience; familiarity with Medicare Advantage, commercial insurance, and managed care; Axxess experience; and bilingual English/Spanish skills.

You should also be comfortable learning Nexus CRM and other platforms. YOU GET IT You know that being persistent and being pleasant are not mutually exclusive.
