Job Title: Purchasing Clerk / Cashier – Recycling Pay: $15.00/hour DOE (Depending on Experience) Schedule: Monday – Friday | 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM Overtime is typically available each week due to end-of-day closing procedures.

Job Summary

Direct Staffing is currently hiring an Purchasing Clerk for a local metal recycling facility. This position is primarily office-based and requires someone who is dependable, detail-oriented, and able to multitask in a fast-paced environment. The selected candidate will operate the company's retail purchasing system to buy non-ferrous metals from customers while providing excellent customer service.

Job Responsibilities

Purchase non-ferrous metals using the company's retail system Handle cash transactions accurately Reconcile cash drawers daily Answer incoming phone calls Respond to emails Provide outstanding customer service Maintain accurate records and paperwork Assist with additional office duties as assigned Requirements Previous cash handling experience is REQUIRED Verifiable Microsoft Office experience (Word, Excel, Outlook) is REQUIRED Excellent customer service skills Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment Stable, verifiable work history Professional attitude and dependable attendance Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen Must have a clean background What We Offer Starting pay of $15.
