Direct Care Aide

University Home Care Inc is seeking compassionate and dedicated individuals to join our team as Direct Care Aides in Ypsilanti, MI. In this role, you will provide essential support and care to clients in their homes, helping them maintain their independence and improve their quality of life.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility.
• Provide medication reminders and assist with administering medications as needed.
• Support clients with meal preparation and feeding.
• Help maintain a clean and safe living environment.
• Report any changes in client condition or behavior to the appropriate supervisory staff.
• Offer companionship and emotional support to clients.
• Follow individualized care plans and adhere to company policies and procedures.

Requirements

• Previous experience in direct care or a related field is a plus but not required.
• Ability to communicate effectively and demonstrate empathy.
• Reliable transportation to and from clients’ homes.
• Background check clearance as required by company policy.
• Willingness to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends if necessary.
