Experienced Waitrons

Job/company introduction and main responsibilities Bosse Events is a professional event management and staffing agency based in Durban North, providing experienced hospitality staff for corporate functions, private events, restaurants, premium lounges, VIP experiences and large-scale events throughout KwaZulu-Natal. We are looking for highly experienced waitrons to join our core hospitality staffing team for regular casual and event-based work.

We are particularly interested in candidates with strong restaurant, fine dining, silver service or premium hospitality experience. Successful applicants must be confident handling their own tables, taking orders, interacting with guests and delivering an excellent standard of service without constant supervision. Main responsibilities: Welcome guests and provide professional table service.

Take accurate food and beverage orders. Operate GAAP POS systems. Set tables according to venue and event requirements. Serve food, wine and beverages professionally. Clear and reset tables efficiently. Handle customer requests and special dietary requirements. Assist with restaurant and event setup and breakdown. Maintain high standards of hygiene, grooming and presentation.

Follow service instructions from onsite managers. Provide attentive service to VIP and high-profile guests.

Requirements

Minimum requirements Minimum 1 year of proven waitron experience. Experience in established restaurants, hotels, fine dining establishments or premium hospitality venues. GAAP POS experience strongly preferred. Confident taking orders and managing multiple tables. Strong knowledge of food and beverage service. Experience with table setting, clearing and professional guest interaction.

Silver service or fine dining experience highly advantageous. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently in a busy service environment. Professional grooming and presentation. Reliable transport to and from venues. Availability for weekday, evening and weekend shifts. Contactable references from previous hospitality employers.
