Cashier

Summary Operate the cash register and process customer transactions accurately. Handle cash, credit/debit cards, and other payment methods. Scan products and ensure prices are accurate. Issue receipts and provide correct change to customers. Handle customer inquiries and provide friendly customer service. Maintain an organized and clean checkout area.

Assist with packing customers’ purchases when needed. Check and report any price discrepancies or system issues. Perform cash counts and ensure the cash drawer is accurate. Follow supermarket policies and procedures. Assist with other daily tasks as required.

Requirements

Previous cashier or supermarket experience is a plus. Good communication and customer service skills. Basic computer and POS system knowledge. Good numeracy and attention to detail. Honest, responsible, and organized. Able to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Ability to work as part of a team. Professional and positive attitude.
