Director of Operations
Job description
Plan and manage the following functions of the hotel (Front Office, Housekeeping, Laundry, comp F&B) to achieve customer (guest, employee, corporate and owner) satisfaction and quality service while meeting/exceeding financial goals. Position is responsible for short- and long-term planning and day-to-day operations of the above areas in the hotel.
Develops and recommends the budget, marketing plans and objectives and manages within those approved plans.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Manage staff and daily operations in the absence of General Manager. Understands and follows policies and procedures for the hotel’s key control system and ensures others are trained in same. Ensures hotel staff, including all new-hires, know and understand the importance of guest satisfaction, and are trained to meet service standards; develops added-value customer service programs.
Empowers hotel staff to deliver guest service by encouraging and rewarding responsive guest assistance. Implements and practices guest service initiatives. Assist General Manager with onboarding and training new team members. Other duties as assigned or required based on hotel needs. May be required to work nights, weekends, and/or holidays to ensure hotel operations run smoothly.

EDUCATION
and/or EXPERIENCE Minimum of 2 years of hotel experience in operations, food and beverage or administration Previous management experience preferred Basic experience with Microsoft Office is required.
