Paver Operator

Essential Functions

• Operates concrete paving machine as per Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
• Direct/assist in the loading, transport and unloading of Paver.
• Sets up the Paver for operation as per SOP.
• Operate, Shutdown and clean paver as per SOP.
• May operate a placer and/or trimmer, as required
• Accountable for the proper use of all assigned tools and/or equipment as per SOPs A complete job description will be provided at the interview or upon request.
• Adheres to all OSHA and DOT regulations, and Metro Pavers, Inc. policies and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) at all times.
• Candidates must be at least 18 years of age.
• Authorization to work in the United States is required. (Metro Group utilizes E-Verify)
• Successful completion of a pre-employment physical examination and drug screening.
• Must pass a background check.
• Ability to obtain a security badge at the Eastern Iowa Airport is necessary.
• Must have and maintain a valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record. Physical Requirements The physical requirements outlined below reflect the necessary skills and abilities. • Manual dexterity - ability to handle tools and small parts efficiently.
• Capability to stand for long periods, bend, kneel, twist, and work in awkward positions.
• Lifting 50 Lbs. on a regular basis
• Good hand visual acuity and hand/eye coordination.
• Being exposed to outdoor elements (hot/cold weather, noise, rain, dusty, etc.)
• Occasionally working from levels over 4 feet from the ground (such as a ladder)
