Business Development Manager (Medical Insurance)

Principal responsibilities Partner with designated bank branches to develop medical insurance business and achieve assigned sales targets. Plan and implement sales campaigns and business development initiatives to increase medical insurance penetration among affluent customers. Promote a needs-based financial planning approach and strengthen frontline awareness of medical insurance solutions.

Support branch sales teams by providing product knowledge, sales guidance and coaching to enhance their insurance cross-selling capabilities. Collaborate with internal stakeholders to identify business opportunities, improve sales effectiveness and deliver suitable insurance solutions to customers. Ensure all sales activities adhere to internal compliance policies, regulatory requirements and risk management procedures.

Encourage teamwork, knowledge sharing and a strong customer-focused sales culture across assigned branches.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Insurance or a related discipline. Minimum 2 years of experience in insurance sales , preferably with exposure to medical insurance products. Professional qualifications such as CFA, CFP, CFMP or QRA would be an advantage. Good understanding of insurance sales practices, financial planning and customer relationship management.

Strong communication, interpersonal and analytical skills, with the ability to engage and influence branch sales teams. Self-motivated, results-oriented and capable of achieving sales targets in a fast-paced environment. Excellent customer service mindset with the ability to manage different customer needs and complex situations.

Adaptable, proactive and willing to learn in a dynamic business environment. Strong team player with the ability to encourage collaboration and support team performance. Proficiency in English and Cantonese; fluency in Mandarin is preferred.
