Mortgage Sales Officer

Key Responsibilities

Develop mortgage business opportunities through the Bank's digital banking, telephone banking and other direct sales channels. Promote residential mortgage loans and secured overdraft facilities to prospective and existing customers. Support branch teams throughout the mortgage application and fulfilment process to ensure a smooth customer experience.

Coordinate with internal departments, including credit control and mortgage operations, to facilitate timely loan assessment, approval and completion. Ensure mortgage applications and related documentation comply with the Bank's credit policies, risk management procedures and regulatory requirements. Identify opportunities to introduce additional banking products and financial services through the Bank's distribution network.

Contribute to mortgage sales performance while maintaining high standards of customer service and operational accuracy. Job Requirements Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance or a related discipline. IIQE Papers 1, 2 and 3 completed. Relevant experience in retail banking, preferably with exposure to mortgage lending, secured loan products or banking sales.

Strong sales mindset with a proactive approach to customer acquisition and relationship development. Good communication, interpersonal and customer service skills, with an outgoing and results-oriented personality. Ability to coordinate effectively with internal teams and manage customer enquiries throughout the loan application process.

Understanding of, or willingness to develop knowledge in, banking credit assessment, risk management and customer onboarding procedures. Good command of written and spoken English and Chinese; proficiency in Putonghua would be advantageous. Professional qualifications such as Enhanced Competency Framework (ECF) or Certified Banker (CB) under the Hong Kong Institute of Bankers (HKIB) would be an advantage.
