Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and responsible Trash Truck Driver (Non-CDL) to join our team. The primary responsibility of this role is to operate a trash truck on residential routes to collect and dispose of waste materials in a timely and safe manner. You will work closely with other crew members and ensure that all services are carried out according to company standards.

Key Responsibilities

Drive and Operate Trash Truck: Safely operate a non-CDL trash truck on assigned residential routes, ensuring timely waste collection. Waste Collection: Assist with the loading, transport, and unloading of waste from residential areas. Adhere to Safety Guidelines: Follow all safety protocols while operating the vehicle and during the collection process, including wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).

Customer Service: Interact courteously with residents and address any questions or concerns related to waste collection services. Route Management: Ensure routes are completed within scheduled timelines and report any delays or issues to the supervisor. Truck Maintenance: Conduct routine pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the truck to ensure it is in proper working condition, including checking fluid levels, brakes, tires, and other components.

Documentation: Maintain accurate records of waste collected, mileage, fuel consumption, and any incidents or truck malfunctions. Team Collaboration: Work closely with waste collection team members to ensure efficient and effective service. Other job-related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Valid Driver’s License: Must have a valid, state-issued driver's license (non-commercial). Driving Experience: Previous experience driving a truck or large vehicle is preferred. Physical Stamina: Ability to perform physical labor, including lifting heavy loads (up to 50 lbs) and working in various weather conditions. Attention to Detail: Strong focus on safety and adherence to traffic laws and regulations.

Good Communication Skills: Ability to communicate effectively with coworkers and residents. Time Management: Ability to manage time effectively and complete assigned routes within specified timelines. Work Environment: Outdoor work environment with exposure to varying weather conditions. Requires frequent physical activity, including lifting, walking, and standing.
