GISD Speech Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA)

Speech-Language Pathologist Assistant (SLPA) Greenville Independent School District Position Overview Greenville ISD is seeking a qualified Speech-Language Pathologist Assistant (SLPA) to support the delivery of speech therapy services under the supervision of a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist. Primary Purpose Assist in providing speech-language therapy services to students in accordance with IDEA , TEA regulations , and under the supervision of a licensed SLP.

Qualifications

Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Communication Disorders or related field Valid Texas license as a Speech-Language Pathologist Assistant (SLPA) issued by TDLR Must meet all TEA and district requirements Special Knowledge / Skills: Knowledge of speech and language development Ability to implement therapy activities designed by supervising SLP Strong communication and documentation skills Ability to work collaboratively and maintain confidentiality Experience: School-based experience preferred Major Responsibilities and Duties Therapy Support Implement therapy plans and activities developed by supervising SLP Provide direct therapy services to students as directed Assist with data collection and progress monitoring Documentation & Compliance Maintain service logs and therapy documentation Assist in preparing materials for evaluations and ARD meetings Ensure compliance with district and state guidelines Collaboration Work under direct supervision of a licensed SLP Communicate student progress and concerns to supervising SLP Participate in meetings and trainings as assigned Working Conditions Physical Demands: Frequent sitting, standing, and movement between campuses Mental Demands: Ability to manage assigned caseload under supervision
