Chief Financial Officer (CFO)
Job description
On behalf of our client we are looking for (Chief Financial Officer (CFO) will provide executive strategic leadership and total accountability for the company's financial capital, financial governance, and overall fiscal strategy.
Key Responsibilities
- Executive Strategy & Financial Growth Formulate and execute financial strategies that directly align with corporate growth, digital payment product expansion, and market scaling. Provide strategic recommendations, financial modeling, and data-driven insights to the CEO, Board of Directors, and Investment Committees. Lead financial feasibility studies, M&A evaluations, and pricing architecture for e-wallets, payment gateways, and card issuing schemes.
- Capital Architecture, Treasury & Investment: Oversee working capital, treasury operations, and optimize cash flow efficiency to ensure capital adequacy and solvency. Direct liquidity and investment portfolios to maximize Return on Investment (ROI) while maintaining rigorous risk parameters. Build and nurture strategic relationships with commercial banking partners, financial institutions, and global payment networks.
- Governance, Compliance & Risk Management: Establish robust financial controls, governance structures, and risk management frameworks to safeguard corporate assets and mitigate operational risks. Oversee full compliance with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and localized tax frameworks. Lead strategic engagements with regulatory bodies including the Central Bank of Libya (CBL), Libyan Audit Bureau, Tax Authorities, and external audit firms.
- Financial Automation & Digital Transformation: Lead the end-to-end strategy for financial process automation, revenue assurance, and ERP system integration. Champion the adoption of real-time executive financial dashboards for executive decision-making.
- Executive Leadership & Talent Development: Mentor, structure, and scale a high-performing finance team, fostering technical excellence and analytical competencies.
- Other Duties Perform any other duties and responsibilities related to the continuity and development of financial operations, safeguarding the company's financial stability, and enhancing overall operational and institutional performance, as assigned by the CEO or the Board of Directors.
Requirements
Experience: 10–15+ years of overall financial and banking experience, with at least 5–7 years in an executive financial leadership role (CFO or Finance Director) within the Fin. Tech or Banking sectors. Regulatory Expertise: Proven track record of direct liaison and negotiation with the Central Bank of Libya (CBL), Audit Bureau, and tax authorities, with deep mastery of local e-payment circulars.
Leadership Capabilities: Proven authority in leading corporate financial transformation, risk mitigation, and strategic stakeholder management. Languages: Full executive fluency in both Arabic and English (written and verbal).
Preferred Qualifications
CFA, CPA, CMA, ACCA, or CTP. Prior experience in venture capital fundraising, valuation, or structural corporate scaling for Fin. Tech companies.
