Minden Medical Center is seeking a PRN Phlebotomist to support safe, accurate specimen collection that helps clinicians make timely care decisions. In this role, you’ll contribute to an efficient patient experience while ensuring samples are properly handled for laboratory testing.

Key responsibilities include

• Prepare the draw area with required supplies and maintain a clean, organized workspace
• Collect blood specimens while using calm, reassuring communication with patients
• Label, document, and transport specimens to the appropriate laboratory per protocol
• Follow safety, infection-control, and quality standards at all times

Required qualifications/skills:

• Preferred: State license and certification of completion as a Phlebotomist and/or at least three months of phlebotomy experience

A Typical Shift

As a PRN Phlebotomist, your day flexes with patient volume and department needs. You’ll start by getting your station ready, then move through a steady rhythm of patient interactions—explaining what to expect, helping people feel at ease, and keeping the flow moving. Between draws, you’ll verify identifiers, complete labeling and paperwork, and coordinate handoffs so specimens reach the lab without delay. You’ll stay alert to changing priorities, communicate clearly with clinical staff, and wrap up by resetting supplies and leaving the space ready for the next patient.
