Dietary Aide

The Opportunity

Minden Medical Center is hiring a full-time dietary aide for a day-shift role that supports safe, accurate meal service for patients and smooth cafeteria operations. This position exists to help ensure every guest and patient receives the right items, in the right way, at the right time.

Key responsibilities include

operating the cash register, completing deposits, stocking supplies, assisting with basic food preparation, supporting proper patient diets, and maintaining clean, orderly service areas.

Required qualifications/skills:

• Minimum of six months cash register experience in a food service setting, preferred
• Some direct food preparation experience preferred
• Dependable, detail-oriented, and able to work with professionalism and integrity

A Typical Shift

Your day shift starts by getting set for service—checking what’s needed up front and what patients will require throughout the day. You’ll spend time moving between the cafeteria and department work areas, staying organized as the pace changes. Expect frequent interaction with staff and visitors, steady moments at the register, and periodic resets to keep spaces tidy and ready. As the shift winds down, you’ll wrap up with end-of-day steps so the next team starts strong and everything remains accurate, clean, and in line with Minden Medical Center standards.
