Banquet Captain – ASAP Start (WITH TIPS)

Position: Banquet Captain Assignment Type: Travel / Task Force Location: Mount Washington, NH Pay Rate: $18/hour + Tips Start Date: ASAP

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced and dependable Banquet Captain to lead and support banquet operations at our hospitality property in Mount Washington, NH. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership and guest service skills, experience coordinating banquet events, and the flexibility to assist with other food and beverage operations as needed.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate banquet staff to ensure smooth and efficient event operations.
• Oversee banquet setup, including tables, chairs, linens, place settings, and service stations.
• Ensure banquet rooms and event spaces are properly prepared according to event specifications.
• Coordinate food and beverage service to ensure timely and professional service.
• Communicate event details and service expectations to servers, bussers, kitchen staff, and other team members.
• Monitor service quality and address guest requests or concerns professionally.
• Ensure compliance with property standards for cleanliness, safety, and sanitation.
• Assist with breakdown, cleanup, and resetting of banquet spaces after events.
• Support supervisors and management with additional food and beverage duties as needed.

Flexibility / Floating Responsibilities

Please note: This is a flexible hospitality position. The candidate may be asked to assist in other areas of the property based on operational needs, including:

• Supervising and assisting banquet servers
• Bussing tables and resetting dining areas
• Running food and supporting food service
• Hosting and greeting guests
• Assisting with restaurant and dining room operations
• Other related food and beverage duties as assigned

Candidates must be comfortable supporting different areas of the operation when needed.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Banquet Captain, Banquet Supervisor, Lead Server, or in a similar hospitality role preferred.
• Experience coordinating banquet events and leading service teams.
• Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
• Excellent guest service and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Dependable, professional, and team-oriented.
• Willingness to assist in different food and beverage areas as needed.
• Ability to adapt to changing event schedules and operational needs.

Assignment Details

• $18.00/hour + Tips
• Weekly pay
• Travel / Task Force opportunity
