- Aviation Operations 📍 WORK LOCATION Miami, FL — On-Site 🕒 JOB TYPE Full-Time ABOUT THE ROLE Xtreme Aviation LLC is seeking an experienced Ground Support Equipment Associate (GSE) to support the maintenance, repair, and safe operation of the ground support equipment used in our aviation operations. This position is responsible for keeping our GSE fleet safe, reliable, and operational by performing inspections, troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, and mechanical repairs. The ideal candidate will have previous aviation or airport ground support equipment experience and be comfortable working hands-on with mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems. This is a hands-on position that requires strong mechanical skills, attention to safety, and the ability to diagnose and resolve equipment issues efficiently. WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING Maintain, inspect, troubleshoot, and repair aviation ground support equipment (GSE). Service and repair tow tractors, baggage carts, buses, trucks, service vans, and other airport support equipment. Diagnose mechanical issues involving hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems. Perform preventive and periodic maintenance to help keep equipment operational. Inspect equipment and identify mechanical issues, wear, damage, or maintenance needs. Use hand tools, power tools, and mechanical equipment safely and effectively. Read and follow equipment service manuals, maintenance instructions, and repair procedures. Maintain accurate maintenance and repair records. Track parts, tools, and supplies needed to complete repairs. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe maintenance area. Communicate equipment conditions, repair needs, and maintenance concerns to management. Follow all company safety procedures and aviation/airport operational requirements. Perform other maintenance-related duties as assigned. : WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR Required Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent. Previous aviation, airport, or ground support equipment experience required. Previous experience performing mechanical maintenance and repairs. Strong knowledge of mechanical systems and equipment troubleshooting. Working knowledge of hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems. Ability to safely operate and use hand and power tools. Ability to read and follow repair manuals, maintenance instructions, and technical documentation. Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities. Ability to identify equipment issues and determine appropriate repairs. Ability to work independently while following established procedures. Strong commitment to workplace safety and equipment reliability. Ability to communicate effectively with supervisors and team members. Ability to work in a fast-paced, hands-on aviation environment.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with preventive maintenance programs. Experience maintaining maintenance/repair records. Experience with heavy-duty vehicles or specialized airport equipment. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS Ability to work for extended periods performing hands-on maintenance. Ability to kneel, bend, squat, crawl, or lie on your back while accessing equipment.
Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds. Ability to work around vehicles, machinery, tools, and equipment. Ability to work in an active aviation/airport maintenance environment. Ability to follow required safety procedures and wear appropriate PPE. WHAT MAKES YOU STAND OUT Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
Aviation or airport maintenance experience. Experience working with GSE or heavy-duty equipment. Dependable and safety-focused work ethic. Strong attention to detail. Ability to prioritize multiple maintenance needs. Team-oriented attitude. Good communication and organizational skills. Motivated to maintain equipment to a high standard.
