Housekeeping Operations

Apes Hill Resort Inc., a world premier golf resort and community, is seeking to recruit highly dynamic and motivated individuals to join our Housekeeping Operations team in the following positions. Candidates MUST indicate which position they are applying for before submitting their application.

1. Housekeeping Supervisor The Housekeeping Supervisor will be required to ensure that all housekeeping standards are in keeping with the established Company luxury standards and requirements. The successful candidate will assist in the management of daily activities including but not limited to the overall cleanliness and upkeep of all public and residential areas.

Key Responsibilities

Coordinates inspections of guests and public areas. Effectively communicates with various departments to resolve any issues with rooms. Oversees the proper usage and storage of relevant equipment cleaning supplies. Manages Housekeeping line associates, ensuring that all daily assignments and cleaning schedules are completed in an efficient and timely manner and guided by departmental standards.

Assists with the planning, organizing and facilitating of weekly meetings and pre-shift briefings. Assists the Executive Housekeeper with monitoring staffing levels on a daily / weekly basis to ensure the department is adequately staffed at all times.

Qualifications

& Competencies: An Associate's Degree in Management or a related discipline. Certificate in Supervisory Housekeeping Management or equivalent. A minimum of two (2) years' experience working in housekeeping in a luxury environment. Strong knowledge of workplace hazards and potential risks in a luxury environment and their respective controls. 2. Housekeeper / Houseman The Housekeeper / Houseman will play a vital role in maintaining the cleanliness and order throughout the property, by performing a variety of general cleaning activities to ensure a clean and welcoming environment.

Key Responsibilities

Performs all general cleaning tasks including but not limited to vacuuming, dusting, mopping and waxing of floors. Cleans, shines and polishes all windows, doors, walls, tables, counter tops and all high touch areas. Ensures an adequate supply of cleaning supplies for the performance of various tasks. Requisitions supplies and equipment needed for cleaning duties in a timely manner.

Ensures compliance with all Health and Safety regulations.

Qualifications

& Competencies: A minimum of four CXC or GCE “O” level subjects including Mathematics and English Language. Certification in Housekeeping from a recognized institution would be an asset. A minimum of six months of experience working in a luxury environment. Strong ability to pay close attention to detail.
