Food and Beverage Operations

Apes Hill Resort Inc., a world premier golf resort and community, is seeking to recruit highly dynamic and motivated individuals to join our Food and Beverage Operations team in the following positions. Candidates MUST indicate which position they are applying for before submitting their application.

1. Waiter / Waitress The Wait Staff will be accountable for providing members and guests with an exceptional dining experience by coordinating customers’ orders with the Kitchen and Bartending Associates thereby ensuring that they provide stellar customer service.

Key Responsibilities

Prepares tables for meals, including setting up linens, silverware and glassware. Present menus to guests and answer questions regarding orders. Serves food and beverages to guests. Assists with collecting payments from guests upon their dining experience.

Qualifications

& Competencies: Four (4) CXC or GCE “O” level subjects, including Food & Nutrition, English Language and Mathematics. A minimum of two (2) years’ experience in a similar position. Strong knowledge of occupational hazards, safety rules and HACCP procedures. Basic understanding of Point of Sales (POS) Systems. 2. Bartender The Bartender will provide excellent bar experience and stellar customer service to members and guests by learning about preferences, answering questions, and recommending menu items. The successfully candidate will also ensure that standards are met and always maintained in line with the members, guests and Apes Hill's expectations.

Key Responsibilities

Assists with the bar operations by ensuring that there are adequate stock levels of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beer, wine, liquor and related items. Assists with creating drink recipes, bar and cocktail menus. Prepares fruits for garnishing drinks and glasses. Mixes ingredients to prepare cocktails and other drinks. Maintains a clean bar area and tables inclusive but not limited to removing glasses from bar to be cleaned and sanitized.

Processes payments from guests as required.

Qualifications

& Competencies: Four (4) CXC or GCE “O” level subjects, including Food & Nutrition, English Language and Mathematics. A minimum of one (1) years’ experience in a similar position. Excellent knowledge of mixing, garnishing and serving drinks. Knowledge of occupational hazards, safety rules and HACCP standards. Basic understanding of Point of Sales (POS) Systems. 3. Beach Ambassador

• Beach Club The Beach Ambassador will be required to provide an exceptional beach experience and attentive service of food and beverages directly to guests on the beach, loungers and on the deck, ensuring a welcoming and relaxing atmosphere. The successful candidate will play a key role in the operation of the Beach Club by greeting and interacting directly with guests, managing beach equipment and assisting with food and beverage orders, while providing the highest level of quality service in accordance with the Apes Hill expectations.

Key Responsibilities

Greets guests and assists with seating preferences. Provides guests with information about the facilities and amenities. Takes food and beverage orders from guests, memorize and enter orders into a computerized system. Serves food and drinks to guests' satisfaction. Responsible for clearing tables after guests have finished.

Assists with collecting payments from guests. Sets up and manage beach area, including but not limited to lounge chairs, cabanas, umbrellas and any other outdoor furniture or decorations. Anticipates guests' needs throughout the day, offering and delivering the various amenities on the beach promptly.

Qualifications

& Competencies: A minimum of four (4) CXC or GCE “O” level subjects, including Food & Nutrition, English Language and Mathematics. A minimum of two (2) years’ work experience in a similar role. Knowledge of occupational hazards, safety rules and HACCP standards. Basic understanding of Point of Sales (POS) systems. 4. General Worker

• Beach Club The General Worker will be required to perform a range of tasks which seeks to ensure that there is a smooth operation to enhance the guest experience at the Beach Club. The General Worker will maintain the cleanliness of the facility, its beach and other amenities on the property in accordance with the established guests’ service and sustainability standards.

Key Responsibilities

Creates a continuous and consistently welcoming and enjoyable environment for members and guests. Greets members and guests and provides basic information about the Beach Club's facilities, rules and amenities. Prepares and arranges Beach Club set-up including but not limited to loungers, umbrellas, and any other outdoor furniture or decorations.

Completes Beach Club end of day arrangements, including but not limited to taking down and storing beach equipment. Maintains a clean and organized Beach club, beach area and amenities for members and guests ensuring a safe environment. Anticipates guests' needs throughout the day, offering and delivering the various amenities promptly.

Qualifications

& Competencies: A minimum of three (3) CXC or GCE “O” level subjects including English Language and Mathematics. A minimum of six (6) months’ experience in a similar capacity.
