Associate Account Manager

Alera Group is looking for an Employee Benefits Account Manager. With offices nationwide, our collaborative approach allows us to deliver national strength with local service RESPONSIBILITIES Serve as a trusted advisor to employer clients, building strong relationships, conducting employee meetings, educating on benefit plans and consumerism, and acting as a compliance resource on regulations impacting benefit programs Manage client servicing and renewals end-to-end, ensuring timely outreach, accurate enrollment and carrier submissions, adherence to service timelines, and maintenance of complete, up-to-date records in the CRM Collaborate with internal teams and carrier partners to deliver unified, high-quality service, maintain strong carrier relationships, and professionally represent the firm in client and community engagements QUALIFICATIONS Associate degree or equivalent work experience in financial services or a benefits related role State Health and Accident insurance license, or willingness to obtain one Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including the ability to read and interpret plan documents, insurance certificates, and contracts; apply basic mathematical concepts; and navigate situations with limited standardization Excellent communication and documentation skills, with the ability to clearly explain complex industry concepts to non-technical audiences and accurately document ongoing activities ADDITIONAL INFORMATION This job requires presence in the office on a hybrid schedule as agreed with the manager.
