Location: Russini Dermatology ~ 3328 Bee Ridge Rd, Sarasota, FL, 34239 JOB DESCRIPTION Medical Receptionist / Front Office Staff Position: Medical Receptionist Department: Business Office Classification: Full-time (Mon – Thu 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. – Fri 8:00a.m. to 12:00 p.m.) Reports To: Administrator Education and Experience: High school diploma or equivalent Two-years minimum experience in a medical practice Essential Skills and Abilities: Knowledge of general office duties.

Knowledge of contracted insurance plans. Accurate data entry. Great telephone skills. Excellent customer service and communication skills Demonstrates concern for patient’s problems Strong organizational skills with the ability to multi-task. Good problem-solving skills Able to work as a team member Well-organized with attention to detail Treats patients and co-workers with respect Demonstrated ability to use a computer with Microsoft Word, Outlook, and EMR software.

Ability to maintain confidentiality and thorough knowledge of HIPAA policies and procedures. Description: The Check-in Receptionist plays an extremely important role in our practice. The Check-in Receptionist is responsible for welcoming patients, visitors, representatives, and other customers by greeting and directing them in a friendly, prompt, and helpful manner.

Coordinate the visits with appropriate staff members and provide effective communication with patients by telephone. The Check-out Receptionist is responsible for checking out all patients and collecting payments. Explain all charges to patients including any copay-co-insurance and deductibles. Verify all benefits /auth/ref/ entered in the patient’s chart 2 days prior to appointment.
