Qualified Electrician | CoC & Compliance

THE OPPORTUNITY An established property compliance and inspection business in Pretoria is looking for a self-motivated Qualified Electrician to carry out electrical compliance inspections and issue Certificates of Compliance (Co. Cs). You will travel independently to properties across Pretoria and Kameeldrift East, finding and fixing faults to bring installations in line with SANS 10142-1.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Inspect and assess single-phase and three-phase residential and commercial installations for compliance with SANS 10142-1
• Issue Electrical Certificates of Compliance (Co. Cs) where applicable
• Identify faulty wiring, overloaded circuits, poor earthing, defective distribution boards and other electrical hazards, using voltmeters, circuit testers and diagnostic equipment
• Repair defects, replace damaged or outdated wiring and components, and correct non-compliant installations
• Inspect and certify solar electrical installations, and conduct electric fence compliance inspections and certifications
• Write clear inspection reports and communicate findings professionally to client Requirements MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
• Matric (Grade 12) or equivalent, plus an Electrical Trade Test Certificate
• Experience in residential wiring and in issuing and working with Electrical Co. Cs
• Strong knowledge of SANS 10142-1 and solid fault-finding and diagnostic skills
• Registration as an Installation Electrician (IE) or Master Installation Electrician (MIE), and an Electric Fence Installer certificate, will be a strong advantage
• Valid driver's licence THE IDEAL CANDIDATE You are a self-motivated, compliance-focused electrician who is comfortable working alone in the field with minimal supervision. You pay close attention to detail, solve problems confidently, write clear reports and deal with homeowners, agents and clients in a professional, friendly manner.
