Marketing Specialist

Cebu City, Cebu, PhilippinesMid shiftPosted Oct 26, 2026

Job description

THE ROLE The Marketing Specialist will take ownership of the client’s marketing efforts, managing external partners across SEO, content, website development, paid advertising, and other marketing activities. As the main point of contact, you’ll set direction, build strong relationships, hold partners accountable for performance, and ensure projects are delivered effectively.

With much of the client’s marketing foundation already in place, the focus of this role is to drive marketing forward, identify new opportunities, and turn fresh ideas into results. You’ll have your own budget, the autonomy to make decisions, and the support needed to make a meaningful impact on the business. This is a hands-on management role centered on strategy, coordination, and execution through external partners rather than managing an in-house team.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

Measurement and the marketing dashboard (your top priority) You’ll be judged on results, so you’ll also own the ability to measure them. We expect you to bring the experience to know which numbers matter. Your first job is to make sure we can track them, and are tracking them: Own and develop our marketing dashboard, building on the work already done with our external CRM partner, who will support you with the technical setup.

Make sure every lead is captured with the correct source, from paid ads, organic search, partners, introducers, webinars and email. Track leads all the way from first enquiry to becoming a client, so we know what each channel actually generates. Report regularly to the CEO on what’s working, what isn’t, and where to focus next.

Partner relationships Act as the main contact for all our third-party marketing partners. Hold regular meetings with each partner, set clear priorities and deadlines, and review the quality of their work. Agree KPIs with partners and hold them accountable to them. Spot where a partner relationship isn’t delivering and bring a recommendation to the CEO.

Marketing strategy Develop a marketing strategy aligned with SJB Global’s growth objectives, and agree quarterly and annual priorities with senior management. Identify new geographical markets, client segments and opportunities that support our international expansion. Recommend where to invest in SEO, content and advertising, based on what the data shows.

Assess how well each channel is performing, and keep an eye on competitors and trends in international financial services. Bring fresh ideas and see them through, and be willing to challenge how we do things today. SEO, AEO and website Set a long-term SEO and AEO strategy to grow organic traffic and qualified enquiries, in traditional search and in AI answer engines (ChatGPT, Google AI Overviews, Perplexity and similar).

Research and recommend new countries, financial planning topics and keywords to target. Run a content calendar for blogs, landing pages and website improvements. Make sure website content is accurate, relevant and optimised, and work to improve conversion rates. Monitor organic traffic, rankings, AI visibility and enquiries, and keep up with changes in search.

Introducers, partners and webinars Coordinate with our introducers and referral partners on joint marketing, and make sure the leads they send are tracked correctly. Plan a webinar calendar with introducers, strategic partners and our advisers, agreeing topics, dates and speakers well in advance. Promote webinars through email, the website and partner channels, and make sure registrations and attendees are followed up in the CRM.

Review webinar results, from registrations to new business. Email marketing and newsletters Own the email marketing and newsletter programme, and keep it to a regular schedule. Segment our audience so clients and prospects get relevant content. Track opens, clicks, enquiries and conversions, and improve engagement over time.

Make sure all communications follow data protection and financial promotion rules. Paid advertising Manage our campaigns on Google Ads, Meta and other relevant platforms. Judge campaigns on the business they generate, not just lead volume, using cost per qualified lead and client acquisition cost. Move budget towards the campaigns, channels and markets that work best.
