Job description
The Vice President of Operations will provide executive leadership across Build. One’s operational organization, with primary responsibility for our Implementation and Client Care organizations. This is not a day-to-day project management position. We are looking for an executive who knows how to lead through leaders, develop high-performing teams, build scalable operations, establish accountability, and translate company strategy into measurable execution.
Reporting directly to the CEO and partnering closely with the Chief Revenue Officer and other members of executive leadership, the VP of Operations will play a critical role in shaping Build. One’s operational strategy, customer experience, organizational structure, and long-term growth. What You’ll Lead Operational Strategy & Execution Develop and execute operational strategy for Build.
One’s Implementation and Client Care organizations. Translate company strategy and executive initiatives into measurable operational objectives. Build an operating model capable of supporting continued growth and expansion. Align organizational resources, priorities, staffing, and investments with company objectives. Identify operational risks and develop proactive mitigation strategies.
Lead quarterly and annual operational planning with department leadership. Leadership & Organizational Development Lead, mentor, and develop Build. One’s Client Care and Implementation Directors. Establish clear leadership expectations, accountability, and performance standards. Build a culture of ownership, collaboration, communication, and continuous improvement.
Develop succession plans and future operational leaders. Partner in recruiting and retaining operational leaders and consulting talent. Continually evaluate organizational structure as Build. One grows. Customer Success Provide executive oversight of the Build. One customer experience. Serve as executive sponsor for strategic and enterprise customer relationships.
Participate in executive customer meetings and strategic account reviews. Support resolution of complex customer challenges and executive escalations. Establish visibility into customer health, adoption, satisfaction, and retention. Continuously improve the customer journey from implementation through post-go-live Client Care.
Strategic Partnership Develop strong operational relationships with Trimble leadership. Collaborate on implementation methodologies and service-delivery standards. Advocate for Build. One customers. Participate in strategic planning, advisory groups, and partner initiatives. Align Build. One operations with evolving Trimble products and programs.
Identify opportunities to expand service capabilities through strategic collaboration. Operational Performance & Financial Accountability Establish and monitor meaningful operational KPIs. Maintain executive visibility into implementation performance, customer adoption, utilization, project health, profitability, and customer satisfaction.
Hold operational leaders accountable for departmental performance and business objectives. Lead operational business reviews with executive leadership. Identify trends, performance gaps, and opportunities for improvement. Balance customer success with company profitability and long-term growth. Build a culture of data-driven decision-making.
Cross-Functional Leadership The VP of Operations will work across the organization to create alignment between Sales, Operations, Client Care, Marketing, Product Development, and Finance. As a member of the Senior Leadership Team, the VP will also participate in company planning, budgeting, forecasting, resource planning, and strategic decision-making.
What Success Looks Like Success in this position means building an operational organization that can grow without sacrificing the quality of the customer or employee experience. The VP of Operations will help Build. One strengthen its leaders, customer and strategic partner relationships, operational visibility, cross-functional alignment, and ability to scale.
Requirements
What We’re Looking For The successful candidate will be an experienced executive leader who has demonstrated the ability to build and scale a professional services, implementation, customer success, technology, or similarly complex operational organization. We are looking for someone who can: Lead effectively through Directors and other senior leaders.
Build scalable organizations, processes, and operating structures. Develop leaders and create strong accountability throughout an organization. Balance customer experience, employee development, operational efficiency, and profitability. Use metrics and business intelligence to drive operational decisions.Navigate complex enterprise customer relationships and executive escalations.
Partner effectively with Sales and Revenue leadership. Lead organizational change and continuous improvement. Communicate effectively with customers, employees, strategic partners, and executive leadership. Operate successfully in a growing, entrepreneurial organization where both strategy and execution matter. Experience in construction technology, ERP/software implementation, SaaS, professional services, consulting, or enterprise technology services is highly desirable.

Compensation
The anticipated base salary range for this position is $175,000–$225,000 annually, depending on experience, qualifications, geographic location, and other job-related factors. This position is also eligible for performance-based incentive compensation. The compensation range represents Build. One Partners’ good-faith estimate for the position at the time of posting.
Actual compensation will be determined based on the selected candidate’s qualifications, experience, and the requirements of the role.
