The intern will play a pivotal role in bridging the gap between modern agricultural innovations and rural farming communities. By leveraging social media platforms and direct field interactions, the intern will help amplify farmer voices, promote best practices, and increase awareness of agri-tech solutions. This internship offers hands-on experience in community engagement, digital content creation, and grassroots communication, providing a strong foundation for a career in agricultural development, rural marketing, or social impact initiatives.

The successful candidate will contribute to impactful change by fostering trust and knowledge-sharing in underserved farming communities. --- Responsibilities: Develop and manage engaging social media content tailored to rural audiences, focusing on agricultural best practices, seasonal farming tips, and agri-tech innovations.

Conduct field visits to rural villages to organize and facilitate farmer meetings, ensuring active participation and feedback collection. Build and maintain relationships with local farmers, farmer producer organizations (FPOs), and village-level agricultural extension workers. Capture real-time field stories, photos, and videos to create authentic, relatable content for social media and internal reporting.

Collaborate with the communications team to design campaigns that increase awareness and adoption of sustainable farming techniques. Monitor social media performance metrics and provide weekly reports on engagement, reach, and audience sentiment. Assist in planning and executing community outreach events, including demo farms, training sessions, and awareness drives.

Identify and engage local influencers and respected community figures to expand rural reach and credibility. --- Requirements Requirements: Currently pursuing or recently completed a bachelor’s degree in Agriculture, Rural Development, Communication, Journalism, or a related field. Demonstrated experience or interest in social media content creation, particularly on platforms like WhatsApp, Facebook, YouTube, and Instagram.

Strong understanding of rural socio-economic dynamics and the agricultural value chain in developing regions. Proven ability to connect with diverse audiences, especially in non-urban and semi-literate communities. Comfortable with fieldwork and independent travel to remote villages; must be willing to work in variable conditions.

Excellent communication, interpersonal, and storytelling skills in both spoken and written form. Basic proficiency in photography, video editing, and content scheduling tools (e.g., Canva, Cap. Cut, Meta Business Suite). Willingness to learn, adapt quickly, and contribute creatively to grassroots initiatives. ---
