Market Development Officer_ MDO

The Market Development Officer is responsible for driving market development within the assigned territory by supporting dealers, engaging with farmers, conducting technical promotional activities, and generating sustainable product demand. The role serves as a vital link between the Company, channel partners, and farmers while supporting business growth through technical extension, market intelligence, and effective execution of field development programmes.

Market & Business Development Promote MDFC products within the assigned territory. Support achievement of territory sales objectives. Identify new market opportunities and potential customers. Promote balanced product portfolio adoption. Dealer Development Visit assigned dealers regularly. Strengthen dealer relationships.

Support dealer business development. Assist in identifying prospective dealers. Farmer Engagement Conduct farmer meetings and village awareness programmes. Visit farmers regularly and provide crop-stage-specific recommendations. Develop progressive farmers and demonstration sites. Promote scientific crop nutrition practices.

Technical Development Conduct product demonstrations and product trials. Establish and monitor demonstration plots. Support field days and crop seminars. Assist in investigation of technical complaints. Market Intelligence & Reporting Collect competitor information, pricing trends, crop conditions, and market feedback.

Submit Daily Activity Reports, Weekly Tour Plans, and Monthly Reports. Maintain accurate CRM records and documentation. Compliance Follow Company policies, SOPs, Code of Conduct, and reporting requirements. Maintain confidentiality of Company information and customer data. Perform any other duties assigned by Management from time to time.

Requirements

B.Sc. (Agriculture) / M.Sc. (Agriculture) / B.Tech. (Agriculture) or equivalent Experience: 1–3 years in Agri Inputs, Fertilizers, Seeds, or Crop Nutrition Age Preference: 23–32 Years (Preferred) Technical Knowledge: Crop Nutrition, Product Demonstration, Farmer Advisory, Market Development Computer Proficiency: MS Office, CRM, Mobile Reporting Applications Language Proficiency: Hindi (Mandatory), English (Basic), Local Language (Preferred) Other Requirements: Two-wheeler with a valid driving licence, willingness to travel extensively.
