COOK

Openings: 2 Pay: $18.50/hour Schedule: 11:30 AM–8:00 PM or 6:30 AM-2:00 PM Hours: 40 hours/week Weekends: Rotating weekends - work one weekend, off one weekend Experience: Kitchen or restaurant experience preferred

Position Overview

The Cook will work as part of the hospital food-service team and will be responsible for preparing food while maintaining high standards for quality, cleanliness, and food safety.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook food according to recipes and established standards
• Assist with food preparation, portioning, and meal service
• Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary kitchen
• Follow proper food safety and sanitation procedures
• Monitor food temperatures and proper food storage
• Operate kitchen equipment safely and properly
• Follow instructions and established procedures
• Work effectively with other members of the food-service team
• Maintain a professional and respectful environment while working around patients, staff, and visitors

Qualifications

• Previous kitchen, restaurant, or food-service experience preferred
• Food preparation experience
• Understanding of food safety and sanitation
• Ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment
• Strong attention to detail
• Ability to follow recipes and instructions
• Dependable and punctual
• Ability to work as part of a team
• Ability to commit to a full-time schedule and rotating weekends

HOST

Openings: 2 Pay: $17.25/hour Schedule: 4:00 PM–8:00 PM Hours: Approximately 20–25 hours/week Weekends: Most likely all weekends Experience: No prior experience required

Position Overview

The Host is an important part of the hospital's food-service operation. This position involves interacting with patients and hospital staff, assisting with meal service, and delivering meal trays to patients.

This is a great opportunity for someone with strong customer-service skills who enjoys helping others and is comfortable working in a healthcare environment.
