CNC Lathe Machinist

CNC Lathe Machinist Location: Roscoe, IL 61073 Job Description We are seeking a skilled CNC Lathe Machinist to join our team in Roscoe, IL. The ideal candidate will have experience operating CNC lathes, interpreting blueprints, and working with tight tolerances to produce high-quality machined parts. This role requires strong knowledge of GD&T, precision measuring tools, and machining processes.

Responsibilities

Set up and operate CNC lathe machines to turn blanks into finished parts according to specifications. Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and GD&T symbols to ensure accurate machining. Perform precise measurements using micrometers, calipers, and other inspection tools. Adjust offsets and tooling to maintain tight tolerances and quality standards.

Conduct in-process and final inspections to verify part dimensions and quality. Maintain machine tools and tooling to ensure optimal performance. Collaborate with team members and engineers to troubleshoot and improve machining processes.

Qualifications

Proven experience as a CNC Lathe Machinist or similar role. Strong knowledge of GD&T principles and blueprint reading. Proficient in using micrometers, calipers, and other precision measuring instruments. Experience with setting offsets and tooling adjustments on CNC lathes. Ability to work with tight tolerances and maintain high-quality standards.
