Junior Accountant – Revenue & Reporting (recruiting from Malta)

Our client, a well established company, is looking for a Junior Accountant – Revenue & Reporting to join their Finance team. The successful candidate will support revenue reporting, financial reconciliations, accounting processes, and month-end activities while ensuring accurate financial records and reporting. Recruiting applicants already residing in Malta.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare and analyze weekly and monthly revenue reports, identifying trends, variances, and discrepancies. Perform revenue, bank, and balance sheet reconciliations to ensure accuracy between operational and accounting systems. Monitor and reconcile different revenue streams, including electronic payments, card transactions, and online sales.

Process journal entries and maintain accurate financial records. Support month end and year end closing activities. Assist with financial reporting, audit preparation, and accounting documentation. Support revenue assurance activities by identifying errors, anomalies, and potential discrepancies. Maintain fixed asset records and assist with depreciation schedules.

Collaborate with internal departments to improve reporting accuracy and financial processes.

Requirements

Diploma in Finance, Accounting, or a related field, or currently pursuing a degree in a similar discipline. Minimum 2 years’ experience in a finance/accounting role. Good knowledge of accounting principles and procedures. Strong Excel skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office. Experience with reconciliations, reporting, and journal entries.

Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and good written communication in English.
