Position: Hospital Cook Pay Rate: $18.50/hour Location: Hospital Food Services

Job Description

We are looking for dependable, hardworking Cooks to join our hospital food services team! The ideal candidate has a passion for food preparation, understands food safety standards, and can work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook meals according to established recipes and menus.
• Follow proper food handling, sanitation, and safety procedures.
• Maintain a clean and organized kitchen and food preparation area.
• Assist with meal preparation and food portioning.
• Ensure meals are prepared and served according to scheduled meal times.
• Monitor food temperatures and maintain proper storage procedures.
• Work collaboratively with kitchen staff and food service team members.

Qualifications

• Previous cooking or commercial kitchen experience preferred.
• Hospital, healthcare, cafeteria, or institutional food service experience is a plus.
• Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Reliable, punctual, and team-oriented.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical kitchen duties.
