Automotive Service Writer

Dealership: L0173 Lithia Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram Fiat of Bryan College Station Bryan CDJR Position: Service Advisor Schedule: Open Availability Pay: DOE ($45K-$90K) Location: Bryan CDJR Bryan CDJR is looking for an experienced Service Advisor / Service Writer with a background supporting customers in a high-volume domestic automotive dealership .

We’re looking for someone who understands the pace and expectations of a busy service drive, can confidently manage repair orders and service recommendations, and knows how important consistent communication is to CSI, customer retention, and dealership performance . If you have experience within a CDJR/Stellantis, Ford, Chevrolet, GMC, Buick, Cadillac, or other domestic manufacturer dealership environment , we want to hear from you!

What You'll Do

Manage the customer experience from service write-up through repair completion and vehicle delivery Write accurate repair orders and clearly document customer concerns Present maintenance and repair recommendations and obtain customer authorization Partner closely with technicians and service leadership to keep repair orders moving Provide proactive updates on diagnosis, pricing, repair status, and completion timelines Handle customer questions and service concerns with a focus on resolution and retention Review completed repairs and final invoices with customers at vehicle delivery Drive CSI, customer retention, repair-order performance, and recommended service sales Maintain accurate repair-order, customer communication, and follow-up documentation What You'll Bring 2+ years of automotive dealership Service Advisor or Service Writer experience Experience in a domestic manufacturer dealership environment , such as CDJR/Stellantis, Ford, or General Motors brands, preferred Experience managing a high volume of repair orders and customer appointments Experience presenting maintenance and repair recommendations and obtaining customer authorization Experience working directly with technicians on diagnosis, estimates, repair status, and completion Demonstrated experience supporting CSI/customer satisfaction and customer retention Working knowledge of automotive maintenance, warranty, repair terminology, and dealership service processes Experience using dealership management systems and service-lane technology Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record Total Rewards We offer a comprehensive benefits package designed to support you and your family, including: Competitive pay Medical, Dental and Vision Plans Paid Holidays & PTO Short and Long-Term Disability Paid Life Insurance 401(k) Retirement Plan Employee Stock Purchase Plan Lithia Learning Center Vehicle Purchase Discounts Wellness Programs Additional information about our Total Rewards benefits can be reviewed on our careers site at totalrewards.
