Roles available Social Wellbeing

  • Companion About the role Companion Volunteer Make a meaningful difference in the life of an older person by becoming a Companion Volunteer. As a Companion Volunteer, you will spend quality time with residents, providing friendship, social connection, and companionship. Activities may include sharing stories and memories, discussing common interests, playing board games or cards, enjoying a walk, or simply sitting together for a chat. Your presence can help residents feel valued, connected, and part of a supportive community, while reducing feelings of loneliness and isolation. No special skills are required-just a friendly nature, a willingness to listen, and a desire to make someone's day brighter.
