Job description
We are seeking on behalf of our client (Drilling Operations Manager), for a company specialises in oilfield services, infrastructure development, and consulting within the petroleum industry. Oversees the technical, financial, strategic, and operational aspects of drilling. Ensures the drilling program meets client expectations, budget constraints, and safety standards while managing daily rig operations, personnel, and logistics to ensure efficiency, safety, and performance.
Responsibilities
Drilling Program Execution: Oversees and ensures adherence to drilling programs. Financial & Cost Management: work with the teams to develops budgets, cost controls, and financial reporting for drilling projects. Rig Operations Oversight: Supervises Rig Managers (Tool pushers) and ensures rigs meet production targets and drilling plans.
Crew & Workforce Management: Oversees hiring, crew rotations, shifts schedules, and workforce logistics. HSE & Compliance: Working with the teams in defines high-level HSE strategies and ensures regulatory compliance, Working with teams in conducting audits, safety drills, emergency response training, and investigates accidents.
Logistics & Supply Chain Coordination: Ensure and manages rig moves, materials, and procurement for drilling operations through his direct reports. Client & Stakeholder Coordination: Works with clients, and internal teams to align operations with project requirements.
Requirements
Engage with clients and advise when appropriate if any challenge may face the Well design, drilling programs, and technical performance optimization. Budgeting & Cost Control: Work with the team and his direct reports in Managing drilling budgets, cost efficiency, and contract requirements. Operations & Execution: Supervising superintendents and rig managers, ensuring field execution aligns with drilling plans.
Crew & Logistics Management: Ensure there is a policy in place overseeing crew rotations, shift planning, and rig move logistics through his direct reports Safety & Compliance: Implementing and enforcing HSE (Health, Safety & Environment) policies on-site and at the corporate level. Troubleshooting & Performance Optimization: Lead the resolution of operational issues (equipment failures, stuck pipe, well control problems) and optimising drilling performance.
