Project Manager

Position : Project Manager Closing Date: 13 November 2026 Incomar is an aerospace and defence company based in Centurion, South Africa. We are continuously expanding our specialised product development and flight operations capabilities. The group was established in South Africa in 1999, with its origins in military aircraft weapons and avionics integration and flight testing.

The company is well established in the local and international industry, with a strong capability in several specialist areas, including: Systems Design, Development, and Integration. System Testing on a range of platforms / products. Product Development. Flight Test Execution and Support. Incomar is looking for a motivated individual to join the Incomar Project Management Team.

This individual will be incorporated into a team consisting of personnel from the Projects, Engineering and Flight Operations departments to help manage and achieve project objectives. Required Qualifications: Applicable Bachelor's Degree or Tertiary Qualification.

Required Skills

Minimum 5+ years of experience in an engineering or aviation project environment. Minimum 5+ years of experience in a technical management / leadership position. Effective stakeholder management and communication skills (Oral and written). Ability to interact with internal and external parties. Ability to manage multiple projects and competing priorities.

Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work in a multi-disciplinary team. Problem-solving aptitude and innovative. Ability to work within set quality standards, budgets and timelines. Knowledge and experience in budgeting and budget management. Knowledge and experience with project management software tools, methodologies and best practices.

Knowledge and experience in risk and change management. Able to work under pressure.

Preferred Skills

Experience in defence and/or aviation environment is preferred. PMP (Project Management Professional), PRINCE2, AgilePM, or equivalent certification is preferred. Job Description: Responsible for planning, coordinating, and overseeing projects from initiation to completion, ensuring that objectives are achieved on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.

Responsibilities

Ensure that project tasks are delivered on time, within scope and budget. Participate in project planning and monitoring activities. Compile and present project reports to internal and external stakeholders including schedule, budget, risk, resource and technical aspects. Coordinating with cross-discipline team members to make sure that all parties are on track with project requirements, deadlines and schedules.

Coordinate internal resources and third parties/vendors for the execution of tasks. Meeting with project team members to identify and resolve issues. Manage the relationship with all stakeholders of allocated tasks. Perform risk management. Manage projects and tasks in accordance with Incomar processes, including planning, execution, monitoring, control, reporting and closure.

Manage project and task deliverables and quality standards adherence. Measure task performance using appropriate systems, tools and techniques. Conducting post task evaluation and identifying successful and unsuccessful task elements. Report and escalate issues to management as needed. Apply sound ethical principles.
