Safety Supervisor (HSE Supervisor)
Job description
We are seeking on behalf of our client (Safety Supervisor), for a company specialises in oil field services, infrastructure development, and consulting within the petroleum industry. The Safety Supervisor (HSE Supervisor) is responsible for ensuring compliance with all Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) regulations and policies at the well site or land rig.
This role involves conducting safety inspections, enforcing safety protocols, training personnel, and leading emergency response efforts to prevent accidents and minimize risks. The Safety Supervisor works closely with rig management, crew members, and client representatives to promote a strong safety culture.
Responsibilities
Implement and enforce HSE policies, ensuring compliance with OSHA, IADC, API, and local regulations. Conduct safety inspections, audits, and risk assessments to identify and address hazards. Organize HSE training, toolbox talks, and emergency drills for all personnel. Investigate incidents, update emergency response plans, and recommend corrective actions.
Oversee waste management, spill prevention, and environmental compliance measures. Maintain HSE records, prepare reports, and track safety performance indicators.
Requirements
Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health C Safety, Environmental Science, or Engineering (preferred but not mandatory). Minimum 5+ years of experience in HSE roles within drilling operations / oil s gas industry. Fluent English, strong communication, and leadership skills. Knowledge of drilling operations, hazards, and risk prevention; experience with incidents investigations and HSE tools.
Ability to work in remote areas under tough conditions. Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
