Pressing Manager

A leading international industrial group, one of the world's major manufacturers of ceramic and porcelain tiles, is seeking to appoint a Pressing Manager for one of its flagship manufacturing plants in Egypt. The company is part of one of Egypt's largest industrial groups, employing approximately 10,000 people . Its state-of-the-art ceramic manufacturing facility employs more than 1,800 professionals , producing ceramic and porcelain tiles for both the domestic market and numerous international markets.

Over recent years, the company has made substantial investments in the latest ceramic manufacturing technologies, automation, robotics and digital printing, creating one of the most advanced production facilities in the region.

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Pressing Manager to lead all pressing operations, ensuring the production of defect-free ceramic tiles with consistent density, dimensional accuracy, and high operational efficiency. This role is responsible for optimising press performance, reducing downtime and defects, and ensuring stable production through close collaboration with the Body Preparation, Maintenance, and Quality teams.

Main Responsibilities Lead all pressing operations, ensuring consistent tile quality and compliance with production specifications. Control key press parameters, including pressure, filling weight, and cycle time, to ensure process stability. Monitor mould condition and coordinate preventive maintenance and timely replacement.

Ensure consistent bulk density across production runs and promptly correct process deviations. Reduce pressing defects, including lamination, surface cracks, and density variation. Coordinate with the Body Preparation team to ensure powder quality meets pressing requirements. Improve productivity by reducing downtime and maximising press utilisation.

Support preventive maintenance programmes for all pressing equipment. Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on quality, productivity, and efficiency. Lead and develop the pressing team through coaching and structured training. Analyse production issues and implement corrective and preventive actions. Ensure compliance with HSE standards and prepare accurate production and KPI reports.

Requirements

15–20 years' experience in the ceramic and porcelain tile manufacturing industry. Extensive experience as Pressing Manager Proven track record managing large-scale ceramic manufacturing plants. Strong technical expertise.
