Body Preparation Manager

A leading international industrial group, one of the world's major manufacturers of ceramic and porcelain tiles, is seeking to appoint a Body Preparation Manager for one of its flagship manufacturing plants in Egypt. The company is part of one of Egypt's largest industrial groups, employing approximately 10,000 people .

Its state-of-the-art ceramic manufacturing facility employs more than 1,800 professionals , producing ceramic and porcelain tiles for both the domestic market and numerous international markets. Over recent years, the company has made substantial investments in the latest ceramic manufacturing technologies, automation, robotics and digital printing, creating one of the most advanced production facilities in the region.

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Body Preparation. Manager to lead body preparation operations, ensuringconsistentceramicbodyqualityand processstabilityacrossproduction. The role isresponsiblefor optimisingraw material preparation, slurrypropertiesand spray drying operations, minimisingvariabilitywhilesupportingproductquality, operational efficiency and continuous improvement.

Main Responsibilities Lead body preparation operations, ensuring consistent ceramic body quality. Control particle size distribution (PSD) and raw material composition to meet process specifications. Monitor slurry properties, including density, viscosity, and residue. Oversee spray dryer operations, controlling moisture content and granule size.

Reduce material variability through blending strategies and raw material control. Coordinate with Quality Control to maintain body specifications. Analyse and resolve body preparation defects, including cracks, warpage, and density variation. Optimise raw material consumption, reduce waste, and improve energy efficiency.

Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance process stability and performance. Lead, train, and develop the department team. Ensure compliance with Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) standards. Prepare and review production and performance reports.

Requirements

15–20 years' experience in the ceramic and porcelain tile manufacturing industry. Extensive experience as Body Preparation Manager Proven track record managing large-scale ceramic manufacturing plants. Strong technical expertise.
