A leading international industrial group, one of the world's major manufacturers of ceramic and porcelain tiles, is seeking to appoint a Kiln Manager for one of its flagship manufacturing plants in Egypt. The company is part of one of Egypt's largest industrial groups, employing approximately 10,000 people . Its state-of-the-art ceramic manufacturing facility employs more than 1,800 professionals , producing ceramic and porcelain tiles for both the domestic market and numerous international markets.

Over recent years, the company has made substantial investments in the latest ceramic manufacturing technologies, automation, robotics and digital printing, creating one of the most advanced production facilities in the region.

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Kiln Manager to lead all kiln operations, ensuring a stable firing process that consistently delivers the required tile quality while maximising energy efficiency and production performance. This role is responsible for controlling firing parameters, reducing firing defects, and optimising kiln performance through close collaboration with the Body Preparation, Pressing, and Glazing departments.

Main Responsibilities Lead all kiln operations, ensuring stable firing conditions and consistent product quality. Control the complete firing curve, including heating rate, soaking time, and controlled cooling. Maintain temperature uniformity throughout the kiln, identifying and correcting hot or cold zones. Optimise fuel consumption and improve overall energy efficiency without compromising quality.

Reduce and control firing defects, including warpage, black core, bloating, and dimensional deviations. Monitor and maintain key kiln components, including rollers, refractories, burners, and sealing systems. Analyse thermal performance data and implement timely corrective actions. Coordinate with the Body Preparation, Pressing, and Glazing departments to ensure process compatibility.

Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on energy efficiency, throughput, and defect reduction. Ensure compliance with HSE standards and prepare accurate production and performance reports.

Requirements

15–20 years' experience in the ceramic and porcelain tile manufacturing industry. Extensive experience as Kiln Manager Proven track record managing large-scale ceramic manufacturing plants. Strong technical expertise.
