Glazing Decoration Lines Manager

A leading international industrial group, one of the world's major manufacturers of ceramic and porcelain tiles, is seeking to appoint a Glazing Decoration Lines Manager for one of its flagship manufacturing plants in Egypt. The company is part of one of Egypt's largest industrial groups, employing approximately 10,000 people .

Its state-of-the-art ceramic manufacturing facility employs more than 1,800 professionals , producing ceramic and porcelain tiles for both the domestic market and numerous international markets. Over recent years, the company has made substantial investments in the latest ceramic manufacturing technologies, automation, robotics and digital printing, creating one of the most advanced production facilities in the region.

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Glazing & Decoration Lines Manager to lead all glazing and decoration operations, ensuring high-quality surface finishes, design consistency, and efficient production across all manufacturing lines. This role is responsible for optimising glazing and digital decoration processes, reducing surface defects, and supporting continuous improvement through close collaboration with the Quality, Kiln, and R&D teams.

Main Responsibilities Control glazing and engobe application parameters, including thickness uniformity and viscosity consistency. Operate, maintain, and calibrate digital printing machines to ensure design accuracy and repeatability. Ensure shade consistency and precise design alignment across all production lines and shifts.

Reduce and control surface defects, including pinholes, crawling, colour deviation, and uneven coating. Coordinate with the Kiln department to align glazing outputs with firing curve requirements. Optimise glaze consumption and implement waste reduction measures across the department. Support new product development in collaboration with the R&D team, including glaze and decoration trials.

Train operators on advanced glazing and decoration techniques, raising the overall technical competency of the team. Monitor quality outputs continuously and implement structured corrective and preventive actions. Prepare accurate daily and weekly production and performance reports. Ensure full compliance with safety procedures and HSE standards across all line operations.

Requirements

15–20 years' experience in the ceramic and porcelain tile manufacturing industry. Extensive experience as Glazing & Decoration Lines Manager Proven track record managing large-scale ceramic manufacturing plants. Strong technical expertise.
