Monitoring and Evaluation Education Specialist
Job description
Calling all aspiring M&E specialists and education-focused changemakers! Hope of Family in Rwanda is seeking a Peace Corps Response Volunteer to help strengthen data systems that support vulnerable children’s educational success. Many families in Rwanda continue to face cycles of poverty that limit children’s ability to reach their full potential.
Hope of Family works to break this cycle by implementing child-centered education programs, including a talent detection initiative that identifies students’ academic and non-academic strengths early. However, the organization currently lacks a robust M&E system to track progress, assess program effectiveness, and ensure that support is targeted to the children who need it most.
Without strong data systems, it is challenging for Hope of Family to demonstrate impact or make informed improvements. By helping to create practical M&E tools and build staff capacity to use them, this project has the potential to significantly strengthen educational outcomes for vulnerable children. Improved data use will allow the organization to better understand what is working, adapt programs based on evidence, and allocate resources more effectively.
Over time, these efforts will contribute to stronger community learning systems, greater organizational sustainability, and long-term poverty reduction through education.
