Job description
Calling all recent graduates and experienced professionals in STEM! Two dynamic Kenyan nongovernmental organizations are looking for Volunteers to strengthen their STEM programs in support of rural public education. As a STEM Education Trainer at Futures Infinite, you will help teachers and students to improve the STEM curriculum, with a focus on technology integration into the teaching and learning process.
Volunteers will help coordinate Futures Infinite programs and events—on topics including digital literacy, computing curricula, space education, and teacher training—to increase teacher capacity, enhance student achievement, and strengthen community support for education. In addition, Volunteers will help students design relevant science and math projects that promote innovation and creativity.
As a STEM Education Trainer at Kiwimbi International, you will help coordinate programs targeting STEM teachers and students. Volunteers will support program coordination and supplement classroom learning as teachers, bridging existing academic and literacy gaps through data-driven approaches. Using resources available at the Kiwimbi community resource center, Volunteers will support learners, providing them with access to materials not readily available in their schools, encouraging independent study, and imparting research skills for the future.
