Quantity Surveyor / Estimator

Summary This role focuses on the financial and commercial management of construction projects, ensuring cost-effectiveness and profitability. The incumbent is responsible for generating comprehensive Bills of Quantities (BOQ) and material schedules, conducting market price analysis in Maiduguri to formulate competitive quotations, and monitoring project expenditures against budgetary limits to mitigate financial losses.

Additionally, the position involves preparing accurate project valuations for client invoicing and providing strategic pricing advice to the Managing Director to maximize project margins.

Responsibilities

Develop detailed Bills of Quantities (BOQ) and material schedules for upcoming projects. Conduct market research on material costs within the Maiduguri region to prepare accurate quotations. Monitor project expenditures against established budgets to identify variances and prevent financial loss. Generate precise project valuations to facilitate timely client payments.

Provide expert recommendations to the Managing Director regarding profitable pricing strategies.
