Job description
We are seeking, on behalf of our client in the oilfield services sector, (Maintenance Specialist) to ensure effective operation of facilities and electromechanical equipment through maintenance, QHSE compliance, and timely issue resolution.
Responsibilities
Maintenance Operations:
- Perform corrective and preventive electromechanical maintenance for base equipment and facilities.
- Overhaul, repair, replace, or modify motors, drive trains, and other components.
- Identify and report performance/failure issues, recommending solutions and improvements.
- Arrange external repairs when necessary.
- Guide and train operators and junior staff in diagnosing failures and maintaining equipment.
- Schedule preventive maintenance programs and keep records updated. Inspections & Camp Maintenance:
- Conduct monthly visits to all camps (Abu Tufel, Sarir, Nafoora, Ubari, Byda) ensuring consistent standards.
- Submit inspection reports on time and close identified issues within agreed timelines.
- Ensure team competency and training coverage during absences.
- Achieve timely completion of maintenance work orders. Reporting:
- Report hazards and accidents promptly. QHSE Compliance:
- Ensure contractors and employees comply with QHSE standards and safe practices. Projects & Improvements:
- Monitor and coordinate project activities between consultants, HQ, and site teams.
- Provide technical advice to ensure proper integration of new projects with existing infrastructure.
Requirements
College Diploma or equivalent. Minimum of five years hands-on working experience of a similar nature. Knowledge of troubleshooting and repairing power generators, synchronization system and pumps.
