Concrete Finisher Training Program

Metro Pavers, Inc. a local, family owned and operated paving company that has been in business since 1966. We are expanding our paving teams and have a great Earn While You Learn opportunity. We are looking for safety conscious, dependable, people interested in learning concrete finishing skills. Program start: March 2023 – This is an 8 week program Wage: $19.

00/hr. during the program $21.00/hr. upon successful completion of the program This program is designed to teach the necessary skills to continue your concrete finishing career with Metro Pavers, Inc. It is a combination of classroom learning, lab work and on-the-job-training with an emphasis on safety. Below you will find skills you will learn and use daily as well as requirements/qualifications.

This is a full time position with full benefits. Performs Strike-offs per standard operating procedures (SOPS) Rolls curb. Performs Texturing (Tine, Broom, Etc.) Performs Bullfloat operations. May assist in loading and off-loading tools, equipment, materials, and other supplies. Perform all essential functions of the Concrete Crew Member.

Clean any tools or equipment used, daily. May perform other duties as assigned.

policies at all times. Must be 18 years of age. Must be authorized to work in the United States (Metro Group uses E-Verify) Must be able to pass a pre-employment physical and drug screen. Must be able to pass a background check. Must be able to obtain a security badge at the Eastern Iowa Airport. (We have ongoing projects with them) 10 Hour OSHA Certification – must have or be willing to get.
