Shift Lead

SHIFT LEADER Job description (Spirit elephant) POSITION SUMMARY: In the absence of the manager, the shift leader effectively leads the team to execute great guest service and follows operating policies and procedures.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Lead team members on shifts, including assigning tasks (cleaning, line duties, opening/closing duties), providing feedback and training Support appropriate personnel policies, labor laws and safety procedures Ensure all security procedures are executed (safe procedures, open/close procedures etc.) Transition into opening/closing duties Make guests really happy by providing great guest service Resolve guest complaints/issues Lead team members to open, transition, and close shifts Know and uphold standards for product quality Work the line as needed Perform other job-related duties as assigned by supervisor Have a flexible schedule and be able to adjust based on business demands Execute and support all food safety requirements and practice Control food costs, labor, waste, and cash on the shift Count cash drawers and follow proper daily cash handling procedures QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS: Great communication skills to communicate effectively with guests and co-workers Must have a positive attitude and ethics which support our values and culture Must be a strong team player Ability to train and coach others EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE: Must be at least 21 years of age Minimum of 1-year supervisory experience ESSENTIAL PHYSICAL FUNCTIONS: Ability to stand/walk for up to 10 hours per day.

Must be able to lift and carry up to 25 lbs. Will frequently reach, bend, stoop, carry and key in data. Must be able to work in both warm and cool environments, indoors and outdoors. Must be able to tolerate higher levels of noise from music and customer traffic. Must be able to tolerate potential allergens: Nuts and Legumes
