LOCATION Spirit Elephant 924 Green Bay Road, Winnetka, IL 60093 DESCRIPTION We are looking for prep cooks to join our talented team of restaurant professionals. The job requires passion in hospitality, good organization skills, a teamwork mentality, and a desire to be part of a fast-paced environment. We are a small approachable kitchen pursuing a new, creative approach to plant-based cuisine, where global technique and the availability of local, seasonal produce drive a compact seasonal menu.

Our goal is to set a high-quality standard through consistent delivery of outstanding dining experiences. Core Responsibilities, but not limited to: Washes, peels, slices and mixes vegetables, fruits, meats, cheeses and other ingredients for salads, cold plates, side dishes, entrees, appetizers and garnishes Follows recipes and complies with portion sizes, quality standards, department rules and procedures and Department of Health regulations Cleans all utensils, preparation equipment and counters required for production Good knife skills and finger dexterity to use small tools and utensils adeptly Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

and exert well-paced mobility Ability to spend up to 8 hours standing or walking in a kitchen and restaurant environment Ability to work with commercial equipment including stand mixers, ovens, torches, etc.
